N,N-Dimethyldecanamide is insoluble in water, soluble in alcohols, weakly alkaline, and irritating to the skin and eyes. It is a
polar solvent that can dissolve many organic and inorganic substances. Meanwhile, it is also a moderately polar surfactant that
can reduce surface tension.
APPLICATIONS
N,N-dimethyldecanamide can be used in the production of mineral flotation agents, metal corrosion inhibitors and fungicides. It
is mainly used to prepare its derivatives, such as quaternary ammonium salts, dodecyl betaines and amine oxides. It can be used
as a low-toxicity solvent for pesticides, replacing traditional solvents (such as DMF), to improve the stability and biological
activity of pesticides. In addition, it can enhance the adhesion, permeability and absorption of pesticides, thereby improving
their effectiveness.
